Design and Analysis of a New Index-Modulation-Aided DCSK System With Frequency-and-Time Resources

We propose a new index-modulation-aided differential chaos shift keying (DCSK) system using frequency-and-time resources, referred to as CTIM-DCSK system, achieve high-data-rate transmissions. In the proposed orthogonal sinusoidal carriers are used transmit both reference-chaotic and information-bearing signals. Moreover, resources considered indices carry additional information bits. To simultaneously boost bit error rate (BER) performance reduce complexity, this paper proposes signal based on in which time slots by selected subcarriers convey same index employ noise-reduction method at receiver further improve BER of system. also derive theoretical expressions over two different channels, i.e., additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel multipath Rayleigh fading channel. analyze data rate, complexity spectral efficiency comparison with state-of-the-art counterparts.
